The Professional Services Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, directing, leading and coordinating activities -- utilizing industry best practices -- for multiple projects to ensure project/program goals are accomplished by performing the following duties personally or through working with other team members.
Your Opportunity- Plans, directs, leads and coordinates all activities of service delivery projects through all phases of a program from inception through completion
- Consults with Service Delivery leadership and Services Account Managers (SAMs) in the review of project proposals; to determine success criteria, goals, time‑frame, budget limitations and procedures for accomplishing tasks, staffing requirements, allotment of resources, and the projects priority and feasibility within the program objectives
- Develops project plans specifying goals, milestones, timeline, dependencies, staffing, scheduling and allocation of available resources
- Formulates and works with project personnel to define technical scope and objectives of the program and its related projects
- Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks related to the program
- Attends and presents in meetings with clients onsite or remotely, including project kick‑off, regular project update/progress review meetings, and project closure meetings
- Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications/scope
- Continually monitors project status / success / outcome(s)
- Develops quality assurance plans, communication plans, risk analysis and mitigation strategies
- Tracks / documents lessons learned and develops improvement / training plans
- Coordinates assignment of project personnel
- Assigns duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project personnel
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems
- Directs, leads and coordinates activities of program personnel to ensure progress (i.e., planning, timeline, budget, stakeholder expectations, scope, etc.)
- Communicates regularly with program stakeholders to ensure scope, timeline, and budget stability
- Attends and presents in pre‑sales meetings for clients to help grow the business
- Ability to adapt to change as well as implement the changes required to continually improve and mature project delivery.
- Enforce change control in line with change management procedures
- Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation
- Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues
- Reviews status reports and modifies schedules and plans as required
- Develops and maintains technical and project documentation
- Provide periodic reporting and trend analysis for Management review and consideration
- Provide input on team capacity and workload relevant to ongoing projects
- Provide timely project reporting / status updates to project stakeholders (Tenable & Client) including the data to support Tenable business and financial processes and tasks
- Attend scoping calls
- Assist with Level of Effort (LOE) analysis
- Develop draft project plan when/where applicable and provide estimated delivery times based on agreed upon scope
