Operations Manager, Supply Chain / Intl. Trade
Location: Germany
The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe storage, distribution, and inventory management of goods. This role involves supervising warehouse colleagues, coordinating logistics, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, data and analytical skillsets and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Operational Management- Oversee the daily operations of a section of the warehouse including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Ensure accurate and timely receipting of goods.
- Ensure put‑away processes are followed accurately and timely.
- Ensure shipment of products to customers are dispatched on time in full.
- Coordinate with the FLM to plan and implement warehouse layout and space management.
- Exceed KPI targets.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of warehouse workers.
- Communicate effectively on a daily basis.
- Support with any site investigation whether that be H&S or HR.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical counts.
- Implement and oversee inventory control procedures to prevent loss and ensure product availability.
- Support with investigations and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Train staff on safe work instructions, SSOW’s and any other operational practice alongside emergency procedures.
- Optimize logistics operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure that all products received and dispatched meet quality standards within the correct SLA/KPI timelines.
- Implement quality control procedures and manage returns and defective products, including PWN’s.
- Experience of working with warehouse management systems.
- Experienced use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Good command of English.
- Basic German knowledge.
