Our client, a successful entrepreneur is looking for an experienced and highly polished Travelling Estate Manager to fully manage and run his 3 properties. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic private household operation supporting a principal whose business is a significant focus of his life. The successful candidate will take ownership of three prestigious European residences, ensuring seamless day‑to‑day operations, impeccable standards and first‑class support across aspects of the principal's private life.
Based primarily in Munich, the role requires regular travel to properties in Kitzbühel and St Tropez, spending time on site to oversee staff, projects and household operations.
- Primary residence in Munich
- Team of approximately 10 household staff across the portfolio, including housekeepers, cook and handyman.
- Full oversight of three private residences
- Management and leadership of household staff across all locations
- Recruitment, onboarding, performance management and offboarding of employees
- Ensuring SOPs, household manuals and operational procedures are maintained and consistently followed
- Delivering and maintaining five‑star hospitality and presentation standards
- Budget management, cost control and supplier oversight
- Management of maintenance schedules and preventative works
- Oversight of property improvement and construction projects, including ongoing landscaping and development works in St Tropez
- Regular property inspections and quality control visits
- Vendor, contractor and service provider management
- Estate reporting and operational planning
- Some travel coordination for the principal including private jet and luxury travel arrangements
- Restaurant reservations, events and entertainment planning
- Personal scheduling and lifestyle management
- Coordination with the principal's Business Assistant and wider support network
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for private matters
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised, proactive and solutions‑driven professional with substantial experience supporting UHNW principals and managing multiple residences. You will possess:
- Proven longevity Estate Manager and/or House Manager experience within a private household environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and service standards
- Strong staff management and leadership skills
- Experience managing budgets, projects and household operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- French language skills highly desirable
- High levels of discretion, emotional intelligence and professionalism
- A hands‑on, flexible approach
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership
- Demonstrable longevity within previous roles
- Confidence managing demanding schedules and evolving priorities
- Good proficiency with office suite
- Must be Munich‑based role (live out) with frequent travel
- Monthly travel to Kitzbühel and St Tropez (typically 3‑4 days per trip, more initially during handover and familiarisation)
- Travel and accommodation provided when travelling
- Driving licence preferred
- Flexible schedule required; this is not a traditional Monday‑Friday, 9‑5 role and will depend on the clients schedule.
- Out‑of‑hours availability expected when required, with time off in lieu provided
- Immediate start preferred
- There will be a remote competency assessment and case study task as part of the interview process
