** About Lhoist
** Lhoist is a global leader in lime, dolomite, and mineral products. Through innovation, sustainable thinking, and a strong industrial foundation, we are shaping the future of our industry. To further develop our strategic, commercial, and operational direction, we are looking for an experienced professional who is ready to take responsibility and actively help shape our organization.
** Role Focus & Development Perspective
** The exact focus of the position will depend on the candidate’s profile. Depending on the individual’s experience, the role may be more strategically, commercially, or operationally/production oriented.
The position also offers an attractive entry opportunity for career changers from other industries. By contributing to strategically important top-level projects, you will have the opportunity during the first approximately 12 months to prove yourself within the company, gain deep insights into our operational and strategic structures, and deliberately prepare for a future leadership role with people management responsibility.
The position reports directly to the Managing Director and therefore plays a central role in the company’s strategic and operational development.
** Your Responsibilities
*** Development and further enhancement of mid- and long-term corporate and asset strategies
* Design and implementation of strategic initiatives for plants, functions, and the German corporate group
* Analysis of markets, benchmarks, and performance data to identify potential
* Preparation of strategic decisions and definition of relevant KPIs for executive management
* Leadership of interdisciplinary project teams and coordination of external consultants
* Ensuring structured project and progress monitoring, including status reports and decision templates
* Evaluation of the effectiveness of strategic measures and derivation of clear recommendations for action
** Your Profile
*** Successfully completed university degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable field
* Several years of relevant professional experience in a strategic leadership role, ideally within corporate structures, heavy industry, or consulting
* Strong leadership personality with the ability to inspire diverse teams, provide strategic direction, and develop them sustainably
* Highly developed entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on performance, results, and value creation
* Above-average strategic and commercial competence with analytical sharpness, foresight, and strong execution skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at national and international levels
* Proven experience in change and transformation processes, as well as a high openness to organizational and cultural change
* High willingness to learn, curiosity, and a pragmatic hands-on mentality
* Strong sense of responsibility and an independent, structured, and results-oriented working style
* Business-fluent English skills, both written and spoken
** Why Lhoist?
** We offer you the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the strategic, commercial, and operational future of a globally active industrial company. You will assume responsibility, work closely with executive management, and drive critical transformation processes.
Choose a successful international company! Please send us your complete application documents, including your earliest possible start date and salary expectations.
