Our Sr. Operations Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives. The Sr. Operations Manager oversees all aspects of operations or functions at the site, leading and coaching a team of Operations and Area Managers to ensure performance objectives are met and building a strong leadership bench within the Fulfillment Center.
Responsibilities- Drive creation of quality, process change, and Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and the FC to meet and exceed the business plan.
- Ensure overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
- Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable.
- Leverage the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, incorporating them into improvement plans for the functional area.
- Take proactive steps to share best practices across all departments, shifts, and the network.
- Collaborate closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Sr. Operations Managers) to secure resources for projects and initiatives in the area.
- Lift and move totes up to 49 lbs each.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Walk frequently around the FC, covering over a quarter mile in length.
- Stand and/or walk an average of 5 miles daily.
- Work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or not air‑cooled.
- Access all areas of the building safely, including ladders, stairs and gangways.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
- 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
- Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
- Prior experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
- Interest in long–term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation.

The base salary range for this position is $ - $ USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
