Overview

Ohio University is hiring a Senior Director of Development - Major Giving for the College of Arts and Sciences. This role leads major gift fundraising efforts by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors, coordinating stewardship, and collaborating internally to support university advancement goals. The position also acts as a strategic advisor to align development priorities with university objectives and fosters relationships with alumni and external stakeholders to secure significant financial commitments.

• Lead major gift fundraising and manage a portfolio of prospective donors for assigned colleges or units.
• Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans; coordinate donor stewardship and alumni engagement.
• Collaborate with Gift Planning, Annual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations teams.
• Act as a strategic advisor between academic leadership and potential supporters.
• Manage development travel and organize key events to advance philanthropic goals.

• Bachelor s degree
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience

• Target salary range of $80,593 to $108,801, commensurate with experience.

• Position is full-time, exempt administrative role and works within the Vice President for University Advancement planning unit.
• Expected to work standard Monday through Friday hours with some travel and regular presence on Athens campus.
