Responsibilities
- Manage, supervise and coordinate the work of the budtending staff during their assigned shifts.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services offered by the dispensary.
- Oversee daily cash management procedures and handle cash deposits.
- Verify and accept deliveries and manifests, and accept in Metrc.
- Address customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner.
- Ensure that the dispensary's policies and procedures are being followed by all team members.
- Monitor inventory levels and facilitate replenishment of supplies as needed.
- Train new bud tenders on DCC rules and regulations, company policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Communicate with the Dispensary Manager any operational issues that may arise, including but not limited to customer complaints, theft, and employee issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dispensary Manager and Assistant Manager.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must obtain a license from the Ohio Department of Cannabis Control.
- Prior experience in a retail or customer service-oriented environment is required.
- Experience working in a cannabis dispensary is preferred.
- Ability to lead and supervise a team of employees.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of basic financial reporting and inventory management is a plus.
- Must comply with all state and local laws regarding cannabis use and dispensing.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Professional and effective communication, both written and verbal and handle various types of media and equipment.
- May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds, or double that with assistance.
- Ability to handle and diffuse high stress situations and a fast-paced company.
- All new employees will serve a 90-day probationary period to enable the Management team to determine suitability.
