At Community Care Ambulance, the Operations Assistant Supervisor (OAS) is a frontline leadership position responsible for supporting and overseeing daily EMS system operations. This role ensures operational readiness, clinical excellence, and efficient service delivery across all assigned field units.
The OAS serves as the on‑duty operational leader, providing real‑time guidance, support, and oversight to field personnel while helping maintain system status management, resource deployment, and continuity of care throughout the shift.
This position is ideal for experienced Paramedics who are ready to step into operational leadership while still maintaining a strong clinical presence in the field. The OAS functions as a bridge between field operations, communications, and organizational leadership—helping ensure that patient care, responder safety, and operational efficiency remain aligned at all times.

Operational Leadership (35%)- Serve as the on-duty operational supervisor for assigned shifts
- Provide real-time oversight and support for field operations and EMS personnel
- Assist in coordinating daily EMS system operations and maintaining system readiness
- Manage and implement system status plans to ensure optimal unit coverage and response times
- Respond to operational needs and field requests with appropriate resource allocation and decision-making
- Act as the operational point of contact in the absence of senior leadership
- Serve as a liaison between field operations, communications, healthcare facilities, and public safety partners
- Support operational continuity during high-demand periods, special events, or system disruptions
- Perform all duties of a Paramedic in accordance with state and local protocols
- Provide direct patient care, assessments, and advanced life support interventions as needed
