The Process Technician is responsible for developing and troubleshooting the molding processes to achieve optimum production and quality goals. They provide support and leadership to molding operations and ensure a consistent process is followed.

Process Technician Responsibilities

The process technician has many roles and responsibilities within the organization including implementing, streamlining, and improving processes and communicating cross-departmentally to meet production goals.

• Develop, document and implement standard molding processes
• Troubleshoot equipment and processing problems related to product quality or to improve efficiencies
• Recommend and improve manufacturing processes for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency
• Effectively communicate with other departments and between shifts
• Set up presses, related equipment, and work area according to daily production schedules
• Train, mentor, and motivate production staff to excel in their careers
• Perform all other duties assigned

Process Technician

Job Requirements

Due to the nature of this role, some related experience with the molding process, leadership, and problem solving is preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of prior related work experience with the plastic injection molding process, equipment knowledge, set-up and maintenance
• New mold sampling and troubleshooting experience
• Strong math, computer, and communication skills
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time, occasionally lifting 50 lbs, etc.
• Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail
