Material Handler - Steel Plant 2nd & 3rd Shift

Material Handler - Delta Ohio
Paid Weekly $20.51/hr
2nd Shift – 3p-11p
3rd Shift – 11p-3a
Shift premiums 2nd shift 1.50, 3rd shift 1.00 (after training)

This position is located in a steel factory where you will be moving, cleaning, treating, & rolling coils of steel.

• Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
• Computer literate in order to maintain associated production documents.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Attention to detail
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace
• Forklift is a plus, overhead crane experience is a plus, ability to read tape measure, working a non temp controlled environment, attention to detail, safety oriented

This is a physically demanding job which requires standing, bending, twisting, stooping and the ability to move up to 50 lbs. Orientations are very safety based and could be anywhere from 2-3 days with each day have on-the-job training. Steel toes, long sleeves and will to wear sleeve cuffs, hard hat, safety goggles and ear protection.

• Store finished goods in the warehouse
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Receive incoming materials and enter them into the computer system
• Stage loads, band materials, and generate tags
• Inspect coils for correct gauge, width, and any visible damage
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
