Position Overview

The Quality Supervisor ensures products and services meet customer expectations and company standards. The role develops and implements quality policies, monitors performance, addresses customer feedback, and drives continuous improvement. The supervisor adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and reports non‑compliance, while promoting and enforcing safety rules.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary $73,000–$75,000 plus bonus. Benefits include PTO, sick time, corporate holidays, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching and more. Compensation is based on experience, skills and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enforce LOTO protocols for facility equipment.
  • Review and update cleaning master schedules, SOPs and documentation.
  • Conduct post‑cleaning and pre‑operational equipment inspections and document findings.
  • Audit, inspect and verify product quality to meet company and customer requirements.
  • Review shift documentation daily, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
  • Oversee process for placing products on hold and determine proper disposition for non‑compliant items.
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of quality assurance activities.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the status of quality compliance.
Team Leadership
  • Organize and oversee cleaning line teams and housekeeping tasks across shifts.
  • Train team members on tasks, proper chemical usage and safety protocols.
  • Lead shift‑change quality handovers, ensuring proper documentation and clear instructions.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Generate, review and file required quality and sanitation reports.
  • Maintain and organize quality documentation in compliance with company standards.
  • Accurately enter data into quality management systems and verify for accuracy.
  • Collect samples and label accordingly per customer requirements.
Sanitation and Safety
  • Perform weekly inventory checks and order sanitation supplies and chemicals.
  • Ensure adherence to GMPs, food safety, sanitation and security requirements.
  • Report and address non‑compliance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety rules.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of basic math.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to process excellence with efficient and accurate adherence to procedures.
  • Effective communication with leadership, team members, and other departments.
  • Understanding and application of SDS, LOTO procedures and cleaning processes.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management practices.
  • Understanding and application of food safety principles.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, sanitation, LOTO, food safety regulations and audit standards.
  • Physical demands: lifting, standing, environmental conditions.
  • Technical skills: QMS software, Microsoft Office, data analysis.
  • Certifications:

    HACCP, SQF, PCQI, OSHA 10/30, ASQ certifications.
  • 3‑5 years experience in quality, manufacturing, logistics or food safety.
  • Proficient computer skills and strong written & verbal communication.
  • Highly organized and committed to managing deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3PL industry experience.
  • Food‑grade warehousing experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish.
