What You’ll Do

Diagnose and repair complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues on production equipment to minimize downtime
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and ladder logic to isolate faults
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance using a full range of hand/power tools and test equipment
Collaborate with production to prioritize work orders, support changeovers, and reduce repeat failures
Document maintenance activities and recommend reliability improvements

Schedule

Front Half Days (FHD) Sunday, Monday Tuesday and e/o Wednesday 8a – 8p

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain paper roll inventory on presses.
Order correct quantity and type of paper.
Shift paper rolls and locate on press.
Set up splicer for continuous feed.
Participate in make – ready and hang plates.
Fill ink fountains and checks conductivity.
Performs initial check out.
Act as second press operator where required.
Enter required shop floor data into computer.
May handle hazardous waste as part of daily job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Monitor/Assess performance of yourself and others to make improvements or take corrective actions
Ability to perform basic math functions
Must have the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
Must be dependable, reliable and responsible in fulfilling obligations
Must work well with others
Must be flexible and open to change when needed
Able to follow instructions and make decisions
Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders
Must have some printing experience
The ability to work 10-to-12-hour shifts

PERFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED
Must have some printing experience
Minimum 1-year Press Room experience
Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of standing while setting up and operating equipment
Continuously bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
