Maintenance - Night Shift

Tarkett is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Chagrin Falls, OH location to work the night shift. The position involves a 12‑hour shift, 4 days on and 4 days off.

Pay is up to $35.25/hr (based on experience) plus overtime, double‑time, $1.00 shift differential, a $2,000 sign‑on bonus, and a monthly perfect attendance bonus potential.

• Observe all safety rules, regulations, and maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Wire 480‑volt 3‑phase circuits in accordance with the National Electric Code as well as 220/120‑volt circuits.
• Repair all types of mechanical and electrical equipment; possess good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Use measuring and testing equipment such as multimeters, ammeters, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Read and understand blueprints and schematics to determine job requirements, material, and procedures.
• Fabricate metal parts; proficient in ARC and/or MIG welding and use acetylene torches for brazing and cutting metals.
• Use machine‑shop equipment such as milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, and drill presses.
• Cut, thread, and install steel piping and conduit, using equipment such as threading machines and pipe benders.
• Apply hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry knowledge.
• Work with medium‑pressure steam boilers and associated equipment such as chemical feed pumps and condensate return systems.
• Maintain own hand tools and tool cabinet.

• 2–5 years of recent or current industrial maintenance experience, or completion of a two‑year training program in an industrial maintenance field (electricity, welding, or mechanics) with 1–2 years recent industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and determine materials and methods required for tasks and projects.
