Key Functions

* Examine lumber on chain conveyors or in racks for defects such as knots, stains, decay, splits,

faulty edges, pitch pockets, wormholes, and defective milling.

* Grades lumber to ensure specified dimensions.

* Lead throughput for assigned production line.

* Control and operate computer system for assigned production line

* Scales board footage and records results.

* Pulls graded lumber into unit form

* Willing to learn/follow NHLA Lumber grading guidelines

* Hand stack lumber as needed

Requirements

* Previous experience grading lumber

* Exhibit a high level of flexibility.

* Excellent attendance record

* Excellent communication skills

* Team Player and Self-Starter

* Must have legal authorization to work in the US full-time for anyone other than current employer.
