** The Job:*
* As a Assembly Operations Manager, you'll be part of our Tools and Outdoor team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to:
+ Manage all plant operations relative to Assembly.
+ Provide leadership and establish scope for ISO 9001 and Lean Manufacturing.
+ Provide support and training to Managers and Supervisors to meet or exceed Plant Measurables.
+ Utilize PFMEA, Value Stream Maps, Work Instructions, and Standard Work to review production processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.
+ Pilot Plant Coordinator (responsible for pilot builds / new product launches in this plant).
+ Initiate and oversee Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders both at the plant level and Corporate level.
+ Work with Corporate Engineering to design / redesign products that are reliable, assembly friendly, and utilizes fewer labor minutes.
+ Work with other SBD Plants to ensure best practices and assembly methods
+ Highlight concerns and identify opportunities for improvement.
+ Maintain production people count standards and report changes to accounting.
+ Understand the safe operation of all equipment.
+ Maintain quality, production, safety standards, and all ISO 9001 and Company procedures.
+ Any other assigned tasks.
** The Person:*

+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business; or ten years Manager or Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and MAPICS).
+ Knowledge of ISO 9001 Standards and Lean Manufacturing.
+ Trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
+ Effective communication skills.
+ Ability to interact with people.
