MERRITT IS FAST-PACED, INNOVATIVE AND CHANGING THE LUXURY woodwork AND JOINERY INDUSTRY FROM THE INSIDE OUT. PURPOSE OF POSITION
Finish millwork components, prepare subassemblies, and apply finish to product for packaging and preparing for completed project shipment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Final sand finish ready components in the finishing department
- Assist with bleaching, staining, and toning of stain grade work
- Sand stain grade components between sealer and finish coats
- Assist in prepping paint grade work for primer
- Perform the following finishing operations:
- Clear applications including use of lacquer, varnish, polyvinyl, polyurethane, shellac, oil finish
- Color applications including use of dyes, stains, glazes, wax
- Other applications including the use of waxed and faux finishing
- Possesses working knowledge of woodworking and general finishing techniques
- Skilled use of sprayers, staining techniques, and hand tools
