Job Title:

Manufacturing Engineer

Dept:
Lamination 1

• Conduct pre-shift meetings
• Oversee the assembly process of finished products
• Deploy personnel on lines and provide guidance to associates
• Develop basic proficiency expectations for every position on the line
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Assist with plant paperwork, logistics, and customer service as needed
• Support shipping and receiving processes; communicate with planners and customers; direct forklift drivers
• Provide training on work instructions and human resources/attendance systems; train new employees
• Inventory management: daily rack confirmations, monthly rack and material inventories, maintain warehouse products
• Customer service: interact with customers via email, phone, and in person about meetings, audits, shipping/receiving, racks, and carriers; travel to key customers as needed
• Human Resources: communicate employee issues to HR; assist local HR with information and communications
• Invoices: knowledge of services, billing methods, accounting communications; help prevent late payments
• Coordinate with 3rd party contractors (lawn care, safety, inspections) and connect them to the facility
• Bookkeeping: organize shipping/receiving paperwork, invoices, and employee information
• Cleaning: assist with cleaning of bathrooms, break rooms, and conference rooms as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Languages:
  
  English and Mandarin commonly used in the workplace; ability to read, understand, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Ability to speak effectively with team members, engineers, leadership, and customers
• 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Physical requirements:
  
  ability to stand for long periods; ability to turn, reach, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip) and visual acuity tests (near/far/depth/color/field)
• Proficiency with manufacturing software; basic computer skills
• Forklift operation certification required; forklift experience as needed to support production

• Occasional exposure to extreme heat; moderate noise level
• Required safety equipment: safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots

All Shifts – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
