Job Description

Machine Operator Slitting – Caldwell, OH

Under the direction of the Ops. Manager, Slitter Operators are responsible for efficiently setting up machine, loading cores, removing finished rolls, performing quality checks, properly labeling and packaging rolls, and filling out all paperwork required in accordance with the job safety analyses (JSA’s), production schedule, set-up instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications, etc.

• Understand and follow all JSA’s and safety procedures and policies.
• Set up UTECO slitter to slit product to customer specifications.
• Load rolls of WIP onto machine and thread machine.
• Inspect quality of rolls before production and continuously check quality of line as it is produced.
• Properly document quality inspections.
• Check to be sure all guards are in place and working properly according to procedures.
• Remove rolls in a timely manner, inspect, label, package, and stack on skid.
• Weigh and document all scrap.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Ability to work a 12-hour day on night shift
• Work overtime as needed
• Satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
• Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
• Must be able to read a ruler
