3rd Shift Tooling, Projects, and Recovery - Machining Tech

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Mill and Lathe Operator

Inside the role, the successful candidate will set up and operate CNC machines that automatically mill, punch, and drill metal parts.

• Set up and operate CNC machinery for drilling, cutting, and machining core materials.
• Load and unload parts, and run machines to produce parts to specifications.
• Read and validate gauges, use surface tester computers, and perform touch‑off procedures.
• Interpret machine codes, make necessary adjustments, and diagnose quality issues.
• Operate torque wrenches, air tools, presses, and various gauges (manual, digital, automatic).
• Identify component parts using identification numbers and maintain a clean work area.
• Participate in safety, quality, and productivity improvement activities.
• Use computer systems to review drawings, bills of materials, and specification sheets.
• Support production on 1st shift training and 3rd shift maintenance as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Preferred CNC certification; must be obtained within 6 months if not already held.
• Previous CNC or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand station instructions and specification sheets.
• Capability to perform repetitive hand movements, lift, bend, stoop, twist, and reach up to 50pounds.
• Established satisfactory attendance and performance record.
• Willingness to cross‑train across the area and work overtime when required.
• Capacity to collaborate with a team and work independently.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.

• Starting pay $21.85/hr up to $30.84/hr.

• Onsite position with 1st shift training; production maintenance on 3rd shift.
