Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Technician position will support a wide range of technical projects across the facility, focusing on hands‑on troubleshooting for production machinery. This role acts as a key technical resource for operations, helping prevent and resolve machine and process issues to maintain strong delivery performance and product quality. The position will collaborate closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and continuous improvement teams to execute project work and drive operational enhancements.
Responsibilities- Lead and support project‑based initiatives to resolve quality concerns identified on the production floor.
- Recommend and implement improvements to CNC programs, tooling performance, and cycle times.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in partnership with maintenance teams.
- Perform mechanical alignments, adjustments, and calibrations of CNC and related production equipment.
- Contribute to process, equipment, and other improvement projects led by Manufacturing Engineering.
- Communicate project status, technical findings, and equipment needs with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
- Support equipment relocation, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, work orders, and technical manuals to support project tasks.
- Manage multiple assignments with shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks to support equipment reliability.
- Use hand tools, power tools, machine tools, and precision measurement instruments to complete project work.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred.
- 5+ years of direct CNC machining setup experience or related hands‑on manufacturing experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in reading engineering prints, including GD&T; familiarity with 3D models or CAD is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
