Unit - Packer ; 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Responsible for the packaging area, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high-quality production standards.

• Job Duties- areas of responsibility are:
• Weigh Counting Parts on Scale
• Measure and Dispense Water in packages
• Auto Bagger Setup and Operation
• Packaging of Quality Unit 1 Parts
• Job Completion on BPA
• General Production Inspection
• Handling, Preservation, Storage, Packaging, and Delivery General Procedure
• Product Quality – areas of responsibility are:
• Use of Colored Totes
• Identification and handling of non-conforming products
• Critical Part awareness
• Knowledge of how to read a Quality Standard
• Good understanding of the Nifco Quality Policy
• Machine Tending – areas of responsibility are:
• Ensure 5S is done throughout the Production area
• Ensure TPM functions are performed
• Safety – areas of responsibility are:
• Ensures Lock Out/Tag Out procedures are followed
• Is familiar with and can locate MSDS sheets and is familiar with OSHA’s "Right to Know" policy
• Has basic Environmental knowledge
• Completes Safety Orientation
• Other duties:
• Behave in a positive manner that enhances the company culture.
• Other assigned tasks as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED

• Must be able to read & understand verbal instruction in English
• Must be able to do simple math calculations adding; subtraction; division; averages
• Must be able to stand or sit for long hours
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds multiple times during shift
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be able to communicate with Supervision, Management and Co-workers
• Must pass pre-employment screening
• Must be able to work independently with very little supervision
