Inside the Role
An Apprentice at Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing LLC will participate in a comprehensive training program that combines hands‑on experience with formal education in either a mechanical or electrical pathway. Throughout the program, apprentices learn in our labs, receive on‑the‑job training from experienced technicians, and earn a company‑paid Associate’s degree.
This program equips apprentices with the skills and knowledge needed to build a long‑term career as a technician across multiple mechanical and electrical departments within the facilities at Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing LLC. Apprentices begin in an electromechanical pathway and may be provided additional opportunities to expand experience as they grow.
We invest in apprentices and foster a supportive, hands‑on learning environment. If you are motivated to learn, enjoy working with your hands, and bring a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply.
