Sewing Inspector

Position Details

Job Purpose:

Inspect finished sewing projects to ensure a quality product was produced.

• Perform visual inspection of finished product to ensure:
• ½ “ seams
• Stitches are straight
• No skipped stitches
• Piece is sewn to specifications
• No holes or flaws in fabric/ leather
• Measure welt for correct length using a ruler
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

• Minimum Experience:
  
  Manufacturing experience
• Preferred Experience:
  
  Furniture manufacturing experience
• Minimum Education:
  
  Less than high school
• Preferred Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to read a ruler
• Strong communication skills and ability to describe nonconformance issues
• Strict attention to detail
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Work with minimum supervision
• Reliable, with own reliable transportation
• Able to stand and walk minimum 8 hours a day
• Work weekends and overtime
• Strong English language skills (reading, comprehending, speaking, writing, communication)
• Must wear required safety PPE such as safety glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Hours:

Monday – Friday 6a – 3:30p
