Position Details
Job Purpose:
Inspect finished sewing projects to ensure a quality product was produced.
- Perform visual inspection of finished product to ensure:
- ½ “ seams
- Stitches are straight
- No skipped stitches
- Piece is sewn to specifications
- No holes or flaws in fabric/ leather
- Measure welt for correct length using a ruler
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

- Minimum Experience:
Manufacturing experience - Preferred Experience:
Furniture manufacturing experience - Minimum Education:
Less than high school - Preferred Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read a ruler
- Strong communication skills and ability to describe nonconformance issues
- Strict attention to detail
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Work with minimum supervision
- Reliable, with own reliable transportation
- Able to stand and walk minimum 8 hours a day
- Work weekends and overtime
- Strong English language skills (reading, comprehending, speaking, writing, communication)
- Must wear required safety PPE such as safety glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
