Ferroglobe’s Maintenance Technician maintains production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Responsibilities include preventive and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and fabrication of repair parts.

• Complete preventive and reactive maintenance on electric arc furnaces, material handling systems, overhead cranes, industrial dust collectors, etc.
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, engineering specifications, and safety policies.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices.
• Use precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
• Inspect parts and determine dimensional changes using tape measures, calipers, micrometers.
• Adjust functional parts of equipment using hand and power tools, levels, and straightedges.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop and weld shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Work under varying conditions (dust, oil, grease, high heat, fumes, noise, etc.).
• Lift up to 50 lbs (floor to waist, waist to shoulder, overhead, carry 20 ft).

Salary: $29.04 - $31.99 per hour

Schedule:

Full time.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Highly safety oriented.
• Ability to work in very high and low temperatures.
• Welding experience: 2+ years (Preferred).
