MAINTENANCE JOB POSTING
POSITION SUMMARYMaintain, repair, and service all plant equipment, buildings, and furnishings in a safe and efficient manner. Support continuous plant operations by troubleshooting and repairing equipment issues as they arise.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment and components.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating urgency, ownership, and teamwork, especially when covering for vacations or absences.
- Perform daily plant walkthroughs to identify equipment issues or safety concerns; monitor critical systems such as cooling towers, mills, chillers, air compressors, and boilers.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including meter readings and preventive maintenance tasks, to keep equipment operating at peak performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities such as inspections, lubrication, filter changes, and cleaning according to scheduled requirements.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must successfully complete an OSHA respirator fit test and obtain forklift certification at the time of hire.
- Basic computer skills (email, Excel) required.
- Technical school diploma, certificate, or skilled trade license preferred.
- Minimum of three years of industrial maintenance experience, including electrical power and controls, plumbing/pipe fitting, rotating equipment, valves, and pumps. Experience with welding, utilities, and instrumentation is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, including chillers, boilers, and air compressors.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as walking, sitting, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling, and reaching overhead.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with production technicians on equipment or production issues.
- Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision, manage time well, and prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency.
