Sign-on bonus: $1,000.
Starting salary: $53,.
Shift: 2nd (3 PM-11 PM) or 3rd (11 PM-7 AM) shift.
Overtime: required and paid at an hourly rate.
Training: ability to train on all shifts required.
As a Quality Control Tech working 2nd or 3rd shift, you will conduct complaint investigations, product benchmarking, and application testing on paints, stains, adhesives and sealants used by homeowners, business owners and professional painters and contractors in the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities- Complaint investigations –investigate product complaints using defined test protocols,document and report results.
- Product benchmarking- conduct internal and external product testing,document and report results.
- Ensure that proper safety attitudes, procedures, and housekeeping aremaintainedon all work programs and conduct work in a manner that protects self, co-workers, the environment, and the safety of the community.
- Operate andmaintainlaboratory equipment following established experiment protocols, with limited supervision.
- Participate in the quality process andmaintainrequirements for the laboratory.
- Ability to write work instructions and procedures.
- Very significant math skills-you'llbe using a lot of equations.
- ABachelor’sdegree in a scientific field and/or 1-3 years’ lab experience is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience with paint and/or coatings is preferred.
- Mustbe self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Mustbe proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English are required.
