General Production
This General Production role supports a metal stamping manufacturing operation by performing a variety of hands-on tasks, including handling raw materials and finished products, operating around industrial equipment, and preparing goods for shipment. You will work as part of a small, on-site crew where strong attendance, reliability, and attention to detail are essential. This position is contract-to-hire over approximately four months, offering a pathway to long-term employment with comprehensive benefits once hired directly.
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing and metal stamping environment.
- Work in close proximity to presses, benders, and shears while following safety procedures.
- Stack finished and raw products to feed equipment and support production flow.
- Prepare finished goods for shipment, including staging, organizing, and packaging as needed.
- Inspect final parts for defects to ensure quality standards are met.
- Use basic math skills, such as adding and subtracting, to support production and inventory tasks.
- Lift, push, and pull materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
- Follow work instructions and production schedules to meet daily output goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality as part of a small production crew.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Apply mechanical aptitude to understand how equipment operates and to support efficient production.
Essential Skills
- Ability to perform basic math, including adding and subtracting.
- Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Manufacturing or industrial work experience, with at least 1+ year preferred.
- Comfort working near industrial equipment such as presses, benders, and shears.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts and completing tasks.
- Self-driven work ethic with the ability to stay productive with minimal supervision.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, especially in a small crew environment.
- Mechanical aptitude to support working in a metal stamping environment.
- Willingness and ability to wear required steel toe footwear.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous general production, general labor, or industrial experience is preferred.
- Experience in a metal stamping or hardware manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Ability to work a contract-to-hire assignment with a duration of approximately 4 months.
- Flexibility to work different schedules, including Monday–Thursday or Monday–Friday (or Sunday–Thursday) depending on role.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train within the production area.

Work Environment
This role is fully on-site in a manufacturing facility focused on hardware production within a metal stamping environment. You will work around industrial equipment such as presses, benders, and shears as part of a small crew, where dependable attendance is critical to maintaining production. The position follows structured schedules, including a first-shift PTS schedule of Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and additional General Labor roles that may follow Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday schedules.
