Assembler Operator
$23.80/hour
$2.00/hour Shift Diff for off-shifts
Under the direction of the Product Manager, the Assembler Operator operates closure assembly machines to produce finished goods according to customer/stock specifications. In addition, the operator fills product hoppers from work-in-process components, performs quality checks, packages finished goods, and manually palletizes finished goods pallets according to the production order/customer specification.
Key Responsibilities- Performs all tasks necessary to operate equipment according to procedure.
- Implements customer required quality requirements by performing specified quality checks/inspections per the customer specification.
- Packages and labels finished products according to the Control Plan.
- Performs line clearance at end of order.
- Actively communicates with coworkers – key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
- Follows work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions.
- Performs root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
- Maintains 5S environment in work area, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to move 200+ pounds with the assist of pallet jack.
- Constantly achieve established production output requirements.
- Sweeps any debris from work area in the production area and machinery.
- Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
- Willingness to work overtime when required. Assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
- Possesses well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and multi‑task environment.
- Maintains positive team environment.
- Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Possesses basic math skills.
- Understands basic machine operation. Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
