KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform auditing and inspection of finished goods for compliance with quality specifications and packaging requirements.
- Visually inspect a random sampling of finished parts, including, but not limited to, quality specifications, packaging, labeling, pallet design, etc.
- Ability to identify non-conforming issues and properly document, quarantine and communicate the defect to the appropriate departments for further disposition, including root cause and corrective action.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, as required.
- Ability to interpret and follow work instructions; provide process improvement ideas related to the final quality work area, as necessary.
- Perform secondary operational activities, as assigned – included, but not limited to, reworking non-conforming products, weigh counting, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and organization. May be required to perform additional tasks within the scope of the role to meet business needs, provided such tasks are consistent with the employee’s skills and training.
- Must be able to work safely in a faced-paced production environment.
- Good organizational skills – must have ability to determine priorities, manage time properly and multi-task.
- Good verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment with positive outcomes.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 – 5 years of quality inspection experience, preferred in a plastics manufacturing environment (i.e. injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming)
- Humidity levels may be elevated during summer months.
- Exposure to loud noise levels, at times.
- Must be physically capable of performing job related tasks and job duties.
- This position requires long periods of standing and walking.
