Job Description Summary

Responsible for performing tasks and providing services to support the plant’s overall business plans and objectives as directed for the plant.

General

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet daily production goals and departmental objectives as directed.
  • Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work, return all tools properly, and report any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Apply Good Manufacturing Practices to meet plant goals.
  • Report daily on Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • Direct all non‑conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.
  • Maintain standard production objectives through proper machine operation and accurate record‑keeping.
  • Communicate production information at shift change.
  • Maintain proper radio etiquette when using company radios, PA system and/or phone for business use only.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all planned and scheduled maintenance including PMs and changeovers.
  • Complete FSRs for changeovers and PMs.
  • Complete assigned work orders and support plant operations for any mechanical and/or electrical issues.
  • Complete assigned improvement or special projects, driving improvements to production equipment.
  • Rebuild any required parts and be accountable for all projects, repairs, and improvements on equipment and any mold changes.
  • Ensure proper and safe operational conditions of all production and related equipment.
  • Improve production equipment, utilities, efficiency and reliability.
  • Recommend, plan, repair, modify, make, install and adjust all necessary elements following a problem or project.
  • Review visual management boards and address issues.
  • Drive Process Control procedures.
  • Ensure production equipment is performing to 87% company standard and address deficiencies.
  • Report progress of projects and general maintenance needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure needed parts are on site for upcoming PMs and assist in updating and improving equipment PM programs.
  • Communicate to supervisors on condition of all production equipment.
  • Assist in machine operation if needed and maintain appropriate stock of spare parts.
  • Sign out parts from the spare parts crib and request parts needed to complete repairs.
  • Assist contractors in machine and building repairs; assist other maintenance employees with repairs, PM, installation, commissioning and testing of equipment.
  • Assist and train production employees in machine conversions and PMs.
  • Assist with training operators and other maintenance co‑workers, direct and advise production employees when they help with repairs.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all equipment and related areas after repairs of PMs.
  • Keep all tools in good and safe condition and ensure tools are returned to their appropriate location.
  • Attend daily maintenance meetings.
