Operating Laborer

The function of an Operating Laborer is in the performance of manual and physical duties. In the performance of his/her manual duties, a laborer may be required to use shovels, scoops, hand trucks, other material handling devices and cleaning equipment. He/she is required to follow instructions and comply with all regulations pertaining to fire and safety hazards.

This opening is for second shift (3:00PM - 11:00PM) Monday - Friday

This position qualifies for a $2,000 sign-on bonus

• Clean totes and wash drums.
• Clean floors, walls, ditches and production areas in general.
• Paint walls, railing, ladders, equipment, etc.
• Clean storage and process vessels.
• Repair broken pallets.
• Clean powder trays.
• Load scrap and deposit drums onto trucks.
• Prepare and load hazardous waste drums onto trucks.
• Unload new steel and fiber drums.
• Clean process equipment (cooling towers, scrubber systems, hammer mills, flakers, dust collectors, filter, etc.).
• Seasonal snow removal

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment (Chemical manufacturing preferred)

• Manually lift up to 50lbs
• Operate a forklift
• Occasional climbing of ladders
• Standing/walking/working >60% of the shift
