Rework Technician
Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring for a Rework Technician in Millbury, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electronics technician to join a growing manufacturing team specializing in printed circuit board assemblies. We're looking for candidates with strong soldering skills and a technical background in electronic assembly, troubleshooting, and repair.
As a Rework Technician, you will perform precision soldering, component replacement, troubleshooting, and repair on SMT and through-hole electronic assemblies. This role requires more advanced technical skills than general production soldering and is ideal for someone with experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive compensation of $17.00 to $18.00 per hour (based on experience), as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
AvailableShift:
1st Shift 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Flexible scheduling available after 90 days
Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform precision soldering and electronic rework on SMT and through-hole assemblies
- Replace electronic components using proper soldering and rework techniques
- Troubleshoot and repair PCB assemblies to meet quality standards
- Read and interpret schematics, drawings, bills of material, and work instructions
- Use microscopes, hot-air rework equipment, soldering stations, and electronic test equipment
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with workmanship standards
- Document repairs and communicate quality or process issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support prototype, development, and production rework activities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous electronic soldering experience is required
- Experience with SMT and through-hole component rework preferred
- Ability to read electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation
- Experience using microscopes, hot-air rework equipment, soldering stations, and hand tools
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as multimeters is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721, or J-STD-001 certifications are a plus
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
