Job Overview
Modern Packaging is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and hands‑on Spare Parts Fulfillment Coordinator to join our Spare Parts Department. This individual will be responsible for the fulfillment process of spare parts orders, including collecting, staging, verifying, packaging, and shipping parts to customers. The role plays a vital part in ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining accuracy, organization, and efficiency throughout the order process.
This position involves regular interaction with the Quality Control, Receiving, Stock and Customer Service Teams, and requires excellent attention to detail, physical ability, and a strong sense of ownership. The role also includes responsibility for outbound shipments to vendors and freight coordination for large orders.
Key Responsibilities Parts Collection & Staging- Retrieve manufactured parts from the Machine Shop & QC department and purchased parts from Stock twice a day or more based on customer needs.
- Record collection details, quantities, and dates on the Order Verification Report to ensure accurate traceability of line items.
- Physically stage parts into barcode-labeled bins according to sales orders using handheld scanner at mobile computer station.
- Assign and record correct bin/tub locations in system to maintain accurate staging and inventory tracking.
- Maintain an organized staging area, ensuring each bin is accurate, tracked with audits being conducted monthly.
- Run the Available-to-Ship Report in accordance with parts collections to identify complete orders ready for shipment.
- Cross‑check bin contents with order confirmation to ensure accurate parts and quantities.
- Re‑label parts with Modern brand logo.
- Sign off on completed checks and take photos of each order for documentation.
- Upload photos into the ERP system (Syteline) for reference and record-keeping.
- Perform final staging verification in system and consolidate complete orders at the ship bench prior to packaging.
- Carefully pack and label parts according to internal standards.
- Weigh, box, and label shipments using UPS or Fed Ex Ship Manager software.
- Attach packing slips and move completed/boxed shipments to the designated carrier pickup area(s).
- Interact with carrier drivers during pickups, assisting and signing and collecting paperwork as needed.
- Assist in the preparation and shipment of large or oversized parts requiring skids or crates.
- Work with team member(s) to build crates/skids, secure parts, and prepare for freight pickup.
- Coordinate special shipping (e.g., Fed Ex Express, truck freight) as needed.
- Package and ship return parts to vendors as directed by Stock Room or Purchasing.
- Ensure accurate documentation and correct labeling for all outgoing returns.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse/fulfillment operations.
- Familiarity with UPS/Fed Ex Ship Manager or similar shipping software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks.
- Ability to safely operate a manual pallet jack for moving and positioning material.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use barcode scanners and intermediate computer programs.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a manufacturing or custom machinery environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Syteline preferred).
- Forklift certification.
- Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical parts.

These components, along with local and national compensation survey data, contribute to determining a candidate's potential starting rate of pay. Total compensation includes your base salary, commissions, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan with company match.
There is no waiting period for benefits – you are eligible on your first day of employment. Base Salary Range: $20-$25 an hour.
