Salary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 Hourly

The Blaster role prepares the product for paint by surface protection and profiling per job instructions. The position is responsible for moving the product to the paint booth, removing tape and paper after the product is dry, and maintaining a clean and safe area. A self‑motivated multi‑tasker with strong work ethic is required to ensure all painting quality levels are met.

• Apply proper blast profile to product ensuring all oil and dirt is removed.
• Mark and mask off areas of product using tape and masking paper to protect it while surrounding areas are painted.
• Remove and dispose of tape and masking paper after the paint is dry.
• Caulk cracks when necessary, using pneumatic and hand‑pump caulking guns.
• Move product into the paint booth and coordinate job flow, ensuring correct kits are with units.
• Sand or otherwise prepare surface for painting.
• Perform necessary quality assurance measures and appropriate paperwork as required.
• Maintain clean work area and proper blast protection inventory levels.
• Perform the duties mentioned above to run a safe and successful department with minimal downtime.
• Other duties as required and assigned.
• Regular and punctual attendance at work is essential.

• Stand for extended periods of time, up to entire length of shift.
• Exert moderate to heavy physical effort with lifting requirement up to 50 pounds.
• Have strong range of motion.
• Perform tasks such as sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend.
• See, speak, and hear.
• Read instructions and all measuring devices.
• Use fingers and hands to manipulate tools and small parts.
• Walk over both even and uneven surfaces.
• Work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Access all areas of the plant and grounds.
• Work in tight quarters.
• Have close vision, depth perception, ability to see small detail, and adjust focus.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1-year previous industrial blasting experience preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot most common recurring problems without assistance.
• Intermediate math skills required.
• Basic safety training required.
