Weld Lead - 3rd Shift

Work Schedule:

Sunday through Wednesday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM * $1.50 Shift Premium for 2nd & 3rd Shift * * $1,000 Sign-On Bonus | $500 at 6 Months of Employment | $500 at 1 Year of Employment

Position

Summary

The Welding Lead is responsible for leading the daily activities of the welding department to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This position provides direction, training, and support to welders while maintaining production schedules, enforcing company policies, and promoting continuous improvement. The Welding Lead serves as the primary point of contact between the production supervisor and welding team.

We are looking for a Welding Lead for our 3rd Shift.

What

You'll Do

Coordinates daily welding assignments to support production schedules

Ensures welding operations meet quality standards, customer specifications, and company procedures

Monitors productivity and labor efficiency while minimizing downtime and rework

Inspects completed work for quality and compliance

Communicates production priorities and schedule changes to team members

Coordinates material flow and confirm required materials and equipment are available

Assists with troubleshooting welding issues and resolving production problems

Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area using 6S principles

Secondary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)

Identifies process improvements that increase productivity and reduce waste

Supports department cross-training efforts

Completes required production, quality, and maintenance documentation

Helps manage inventory for welding consumables and supplies

Supports accident investigations and corrective action activities

Performs welding duties as needed to meet production requirements

Leadership Responsibilities

Models and promotes safe, high-quality, reliable, and professional work practices while using 6S

Promotes a respectful, positive work environment

Holds employees accountable for company policies and performance expectations

Develops employees through coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback
