2nd Shift Reclaim Machining - Machining Tech

Inside the Role

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Mill and Lathe Operator. The successful candidate will set up and operate CNC machinery that automatically mills, punches, and drills metal parts. Primary tasks include operating HAAS, Cincinnati, and Vertical Horizontal Lathes, machining small components, and operating other CNC machines as needed.

• Operate CNC machinery to produce parts to specifications and rate.
• Set up machines, read and set gauges, and use surface tester computers.
• Diagnose quality issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Load and unload parts, use pallet jack, hoist, and other PIV equipment safely.
• Use torque wrenches, air tools, presses, and other hand and power tools in safe manner.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to established work rotation plans.
• Complete training matrix for each rotation position and adhere to Work Station Instructions.
• Participate in safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput improvements.
• Use computer systems to access assembly data, drawings, bills of materials, and specification sheets.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

• CNC certificate preferred; if not held, must obtain within 6 months.
• High School Diploma or GED required; further college education is a plus.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand manipulation and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
• Strong understanding of machine codes and adjustments.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
• Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• Previous manufacturing experience in automotive or trucking environment is a plus.
• Experience in mechanical work and operating riveting, torqueing, hand tools, and small power tools.
• Cross-training readiness for other jobs.

• Starting pay of $21.85/hr up to $30.84/hr with quarterly gain sharing bonus potential.
