D shift Packer

Summary

Responsible for operation of machinery to pack and/or palletize product. Must acquire understanding of packing requirements and operations of machinery including palletizers, strapping machines, wrapping machines, forklifts, and overall flow of product.

• Operate palletizers, strapping machines, wrapping machines, forklifts and maintain overall product flow.
• Work as a team, actively participate in team activities and demonstrate problem‑solving skills.
• Follow company policies, safety and health objectives, and good manufacturing practices.
• Maintain proper ergonomics and report unsafe conditions, accidents or near misses.
• Maintain daily production goals, departmental objectives and quality standards.
• Keep work areas clean, return tools to storage, report malfunctioning equipment.
• Record production accurately and communicate production information at shift change.
• Use radio etiquette and other communications equipment responsibly.
• Assist with daily cleaning schedule and direct non‑conforming parts to reprocess area.

• Package finished product according to customer specifications.
• Inspect product for quality defects and document per product requirements.
• Operate, load and perform minor adjustments on box loader, inserter machine and strapper.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
