Millwright/Maintenance Position Job Clarington Ohio USA,Manufacturing / Production

Location: Clarington

The qualified candidate will inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain all mechanical equipment in the steel mill environment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to manufacturing equipment and machinery
Dismantle equipment when required for repair or transportation and reassemble it at the appropriate time
Move equipment to appropriate site for repair or maintenance to avoid contamination or workplace safety hazards
Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation
Grind, file and weld machinery parts both on-site and in controlled circumstances
Replace defective parts of a machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
Test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.
Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
Knowledge and use of hand tools and power tools
Ability to read and understand drawings and printed instructions
Interpret drawings related to the installation and operation of machinery and equipment.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission, welding, rigging and pipe fitting along with a high mechanical aptitude
Observe all safety regulations and all required PPE.
Some experience in construction/manufacturing environment is required

Judgment and Decision Making -- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
