Mechanical Engineering Technician
The Mechanical Engineering Technician reviews engineering drawings to support the upgrade and testing of power supply systems in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role inspects test units, documents findings for engineering teams, and contributes to continuous improvements focused on safety, quality, and efficiency. The technician utilizes precision measuring equipment and collaborates closely with engineering and production teams to build and evaluate complex assemblies.
Responsibilities- Review engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to support the upgrade and testing of power supply systems.
- Inspect test units and mechanical assemblies using precision measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications and tight tolerances.
- Document inspection results, test findings, and quality observations clearly and accurately for engineering and production teams.
- Perform mechanical and electromechanical troubleshooting to identify issues in assemblies, components, and test setups.
- Follow detailed assembly procedures to build complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies in a manufacturing environment.
- Conduct inspection and testing activities to ensure safety, quality, and reliability of power supply systems and related equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and process optimization.
- Contribute to process and safety improvements by providing feedback on assembly, inspection, and testing procedures.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production personnel to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
- Apply mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive, metal fabrication, equipment assembly, and industrial practices to daily tasks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with mechanical and electromechanical systems.
- Proficiency using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, and gauge blocks.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed assembly procedures.
- Demonstrated skill in inspection, testing, and documentation of mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.
- Ability to work with tight tolerances, including measurements down to 0.001 inches.
- Troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electromechanical systems in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience performing quality inspections and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Capability to follow complex assembly procedures and build intricate mechanical assemblies.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, heavy equipment, energy, aerospace, or industrial environments.
- Experience in automotive, metal fabrication, or equipment assembly work.
- Experience contributing to process improvements and safety enhancements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams.
- Interest in solving complex energy challenges and working on advanced power generation technologies.
