International Wire Group, a Pantheon Electric company and a leading manufacturer of high-quality copper wire products, is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for our Camden OWI plant.
In this hands-on role, you will help protect product quality by inspecting incoming and outgoing wire, completing quality-control measurements, identifying product discrepancies, calibrating testing equipment, and ensuring materials meet established specifications before shipment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO- Visually inspect incoming and outgoing wire for defects, damage, or other discrepancies.
- Complete required quality-control measurements using established inspection methods and equipment.
- Operate measurement equipment accurately and document inspection results.
- Perform daily calibration checks on gram scales and other assigned testing equipment.
- Read and follow product requirements contained in Method Masters and related production documentation.
- Identify different wire types, reel sizes, and product specifications.
- Tag, identify, and process reels of wire accurately.
- Collect materials from the final inspection area and support the processing of discrepant materials.
- Weigh and tag scrap boxes at the end of each shift and replace them with empty containers.
- Supply production lines with the correct feedstock and production materials.
- Back up production lines with the appropriate feedstock based on Method Master requirements.
- Maintain organized feedstock and reel-storage areas.
- Store materials using proper signage, designated inventory lanes, and First In, First Out practices.
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Move reels and materials without damaging the product or equipment.
- Complete required forklift safety inspections and checklists.
- Enter inspection, material, and product information into company computer systems.
- Follow all established safety, quality, and operating procedures.
- Communicate daily with supervisors, operators, and employees on other shifts to ensure operational priorities are met.
- Assist with on-the-job training for employees assigned to the department.
- Support Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Contribute ideas that improve safety, quality, efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous quality-control, inspection, manufacturing, production, or material-handling experience is preferred.
- Experience using measurement or inspection equipment is preferred.
- Ability to recognize product defects and follow detailed specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, Method Masters, and production documentation.
- Ability to manage time-sensitive responsibilities and production priorities.
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong record of safety, quality, reliability, and attendance.
