Shift supervisor, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will supervise hourly associates, coordinate daily schedules, and ensure safe, efficient operation of plastic packaging lines. Key duties include monitoring quality and uptime, troubleshooting production issues, and enforcing safety and GMP standards. You'll coach and develop team members, support continuous improvement, and partner with maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet customer requirements while reducing scrap and downtime.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on assigned shift
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and adherence to all safety policies and procedures
• Monitor product quality and line performance, taking action to correct issues
• Schedule, direct, and support hourly production associates
• Troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and scrap
• Track production metrics and report shift performance to management
• Implement and support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members to build skills and performance
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet production goals
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, housekeeping, and company standards
