MIG/TIG Welder

Pay: Starting at $20/hr, based on experience
Potential Pay: Up to $28/hr for the right candidate
Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM–1:30 AM, Monday–Thursday

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable MIG/TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience welding a variety of metals and fabricating components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on metal components and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
  • Set up and operate welding machines and fabrication equipment.
  • Select appropriate welding processes, wire, filler materials, gas, and machine settings.
  • Measure, cut, fit, tack, and weld components according to specifications.
  • Inspect completed welds for strength, accuracy, appearance, and quality.
  • Use grinders and hand/power tools to prepare and finish welded surfaces.
  • Identify and correct welding defects.
  • Maintain welding equipment and a clean work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and required PPE.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Previous MIG and TIG welding experience required.
  • Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques and basic metal fabrication.
  • Ability to use tape measures, squares, calipers, and other measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Welding certification preferred but not required depending on experience.
  • Must be able to pass a weld test.
