General Laborer

Job Description:

A North Lima Engineering Company is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a general laborer. Must know how to use hand tools and power tools

Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to component repair and maintenance. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting our experienced technicians with tear-downs and rebuilds of machinery components. Such as axels and transfer cases
• Learning and performing new part replacements.
• Operating parts cleaning equipment and ensuring proper maintenance.
• Gaining proficiency in bearing removal and installation procedures.
• Engaging in tasks such as wire-brushing, organizing nuts and bolts, and keeping the workspace tidy.
• Collaborating with our skilled staff to learn from their expertise and experience.
• Other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of our engineering department.

Requirements:

• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to various job positions within the company.
• Basic knowledge of computers, tools, and related shop experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and effectively communicate with colleagues.
• Detail-oriented and capable of following instructions precisely.
• High level of initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects when necessary.
• Previous experience in engineering, manufacturing, or mechanical fields is a plus, but not required.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a dayshift schedule, working from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
