General Laborer – Fabrication Shop
Location: Columbiana, OH
Pay: $16–$18/hr, based on experience
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Thursday, 10-hour days
Overtime: Fridays as needed
A small fabrication shop is looking for a General Laborer to join their team. The company specializes in fabricating handrails, stairs, platforms, and other metal structures
.
Job Duties:
- Assist with general shop and fabrication duties
- Measure and mark materials accurately
- Read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch
- Assist with cutting, grinding, material handling, and assembly
- Paint and finish fabricated metal products
- Prepare surfaces for painting and apply paint as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and work as part of a team
- Previous fabrication, painting, construction, or general labor experience preferred
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16"
- Must have steel-toe work boots
- Must wear jeans/work pants — no sweatpants permitted
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
