3rd Shift Production Lead | Apple Creek, OH

Mancan Staffing is currently seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Production Lead for a manufacturing company in Apple Creek, OH. This position is responsible for overseeing overnight production operations, leading production associates, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, strong leadership abilities, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues while keeping the team on schedule.

Schedule

• 3rd Shift – Overnight 11pm-7am

• Training for this position will be completed on 2nd Shift then transferred to 3rd shift

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee production associates during 3rd shift

• Interpret blueprints, job orders, and production instructions

• Assign duties and establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules

• Monitor production processes for quality, efficiency, and productivity

• Analyze and resolve production issues or assist employees with troubleshooting

• Maintain accurate time and production records

• Monitor safety standards and enforce company safety procedures

• Conduct regular safety audits to help prevent workplace accidents

• Monitor employees' use of the SPC system

• Inspect and measure parts and products to verify they meet specifications

• Communicate with other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met

• Operate a lift truck as needed

• Weigh parts using a scale and complete required paperwork

• Support continuous improvement efforts throughout the production process

• Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong understanding of production workflows and manufacturing processes

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders

• Experience using measuring instruments for quality control

• Ability to accurately follow detailed production instructions

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing equipment

• Ability to operate a lift truck

• Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity

Compensation
$50,000–$52,000 per year, based on experience
