Position Summary:
Process all tomatoes in cans, drums and totes, paste in totes, and be able to blend starch and gums.

FUNCTION PRIORITY PERCENTAGE
(Should = 100%)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Working knowledge of the weight of cans, barrels, totes and their ability to read, comprehend product recipes

2..Conform to established traceability program at Summer Garden Food by lot coding all batches being prepared.
15%
3.Able to track lot codes for traceability. 15%
4.To CIP tanks and to hook up process lines for CIP 5%
5.Excellent communication skills to include sharing of information with the batch makers assistant to Ensure proper tote assignment to comply with recipes, allergens and traceability (food quality and food safety)5%
6.Ability to work under pressure, while multi-tasking 5%
7.Clean out tanks when required and clean and sanitize all processing equipment.

8.To clean and sanitize the process room for opening of tomato’s 5%
9.Follow safety regulations and procedures required by SGFM/Quality/SQF/GMP’s/OSHA regulations/Preventative Controls.

10.Team player with self-motivating skills.

11.Complete instructions and goals given by their supervisor. 5%

Requirements Necessary to Perform This Job Function: (Educational & Physical)
1.High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
2.Frequent Lifting of material up to and including 100 pounds as well as pushing and/or pulling items weighing from 100 to 500 lbs
3.Frequently required to stand, and walk.
4.Manual dexterity with ability to reach with hands and arms
5.Climbing ladders and stairs often
6.Able to work in both hot/humid (in excess of 110 degrees
F) and cold (below
-20 degrees
F) environments
7.Basic mathematic, reading, and writing skills
8.Regularly required to talk, hear and see.
9.Able to read and write English fluently.
10.Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory
11.3 to 5 year’s previous cooking experience is preferred but not necessary
