I’m excited and honored to step into my new role as President Americas t a few days in, I’m inspired by the energy, ideas, and ambition of the people I’ve met.

I’m happy to return to this diverse and dynamic region. Together, we’ll unlock its immense potential by driving growth, enhancing efficiency and safety, and strengthening stakeholder engagement.  But for now, my top priority is listening and learning from my new team. People are at the heart of everything ─ engaged, committed, and collaborating teams can achieve incredible results.

The Americas offer tremendous opportunities for Evonik. Let’s build on that promise and orchestrate together the future we can all be proud of.

Wrapping up an inspiring X-Mentoring program and feeling truly grateful Over the past year, I had the opportunity to participate in a cross-company mentoring program with companies from the region — an experience that offered valuable perspectives and meaningful personal growth. Special thanks to my mentor Larissa Merkl for the deep insights, honest feedback and constant inspiration — and especially for her strong commitment to empowering women in chemistry.

Your perspective, role-model mindset and encouragement to confidently shape a career in a scientific environment made this experience truly impactful. A big thank you to  for organizing such a impactful mentoring program.  I’m also very thankful to  for giving me the opportunity and the trust to participate in this journey.

An experience I truly value — and one that shows how inspiring mentoring can be. Couple weeks ago I was in Malaysia.  Customer visits, technical sessions, walking through production plants. And plenty of meals in between.

Sales, marketing, engineering, production, R&D, procurement — everyone looks at the same business from a different angle. And every conversation gives you a small piece of the truth. On its own it’s incomplete. Put together, it starts to make sense.

It also reminded me how easy it is to look at additives as commodities today. When there are so many choices, it’s tempting to focus only on the product. But the conversations tell a different story.

Business is all about listening long enough to understand the full picture, then figuring out how we can actually help. A solution, not an offer.

I enjoy this part of the job. It feels a bit like detective work — asking, listening, connecting dots. The more time you invest, the clearer things become. When it finally clicks, the travel and long days feel worth it.

And none of this is done alone. Every visit is backed by a team that prepares, challenges, and supports each other. I’m grateful for the people I work with, and for what I continue to learn from customers along the way.

During this time, I have gained invaluable experience, built lasting friendships, and become part of a strong and inspiring network of talented people. I’ve grown both personally and professionally—and I’m truly thankful for every step of this journey.

At the same time, it feels like the right moment to start a new and exciting chapter. I’m thrilled to begin my first day on-site with my new colleagues at Evonik Venture Capital. I’m looking forward to fresh perspectives, new challenges, and the opportunity to contribute in a different environment.

Experiencing this journey in another country, with a new team and in a multicultural environment, was extremely enriching both professionally and personally.
