Position: PR and Influencer Manager, EMEA (Fixed term)
Location: Germany

Role Summary

As the PR and Influencer Manager, EMEA – Germany, you will drive the earned function across our priority market Germany and potentially other territories, leading high-impact PR and influencer programs that support brand trust, cultural relevance, and business growth. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering a maternity leave through May
2027.

Location

This role can be done remotely from Germany or the Netherlands, with a strict requirement that candidates based in the Netherlands are bilingual in German.

Responsibilities
  • Elevate brand heat and cultural relevance through earned‑first storytelling, PR campaigns, and influencer/creator activations.
  • Lead the development and execution of an integrated earned and influencer strategy for Germany and potentially other markets, localizing global initiatives to fit cultural context and audience needs.
  • Launch NPIs/NFIs with impact, adapting global press materials and messaging where needed.
  • Drive local cultural initiatives that support regional marketing priorities.
  • Run an efficient press office—seeding, seasonal/cultural moments, brand storytelling, and business/campaign announcements.
  • Manage influencer and creator programs—from relationship building to campaign‑specific collaborations that amplify Sonos in music, culture, and tech spaces.
  • Lead media and influencer events, aligning with global toolkits but tailoring for cultural fit.
  • Oversee logistics (tech setup, spokesperson prep, supplier management, guest list curation, agency support).
  • Partner with distributor teams and their PR/influencer agencies in growth markets to align on regional budgets, priorities, localize campaigns, and ensure Sonos’ standards for brand storytelling and execution are met.
  • Provide guidance, toolkits, and strategic oversight to distributor partners, enabling them to deliver best‑in‑class earned activity in their markets.
  • Proactively monitor industry and cultural trends, providing insights and recommendations to refine strategies.
  • Cultivate deep relationships with media, influencers, taste makers, and cultural partners to maximize earned opportunities.
  • Build the right ecosystem of agencies, vendors, and creators across the region, ensuring resources are best‑in‑class and fit for purpose.
  • Track, measure, and report impact, working with global/regional teams to demonstrate clear ROI and learnings from earned initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Passionate communications professional with 6‑8+ years of PR experience in an international company, client, or agency, ideally in consumer electronics, lifestyle, or entertainment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the local media, cultural, and influencer landscape in Germany.
  • Proven experience in public relations, influencer marketing, and cultural communications in both established and emerging markets.
  • Experience collaborating across distributor or partner‑led markets and managing relationships with external partners while safeguarding brand voice.
  • Diplomatic, adaptable, and able to build trust and alignment across teams and regions.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple markets and priorities.
  • Collaborative team player, cross‑functional partner, and adept at balancing strategic planning with hands‑on execution.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); willing to travel as needed.
Required Skills
  • Strategic and creative thinker, strong storyteller.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Drive, Slides, etc.);
    Meltwater is a plus.
