Location: Nelsonville

The Marketing Student Employee supports the marketing team in executing day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives that enhance brand awareness and engagement. This role provides a current student with hands-on experience in marketing by contributing to content creation, social media management, market research, and campaign support. The position is designed to develop practical skills in a professional environment while assisting the team in achieving its communication and marketing objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating and scheduling content for social media platforms
  • Support the development of marketing materials such as flyers, emails, and presentations
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities
  • Help maintain and update website content
  • Track and report on marketing campaign performance metrics
  • Collaborate with team members on marketing initiatives and events
  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing team
III. Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills
  • Must be currently enrolled as a Hocking College student as a full-time student.
  • Must be a second-year student.
  • Must meet federal requirements for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
  • Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Linked In, Tik Tok, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or social media scheduling platforms is a plus
  • Creative thinker with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
