Walnut Street Church of Christ has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Minister who is motivated and energetic about leading our congregation to the next level. We have recently experienced a cultural shift that has brought down our median age. We have established a base of involved, young families, and are seeking someone to lead us in continued growth. Our leadership consists of a committed team of three elders and three deacons.

While remaining true to our restoration movement doctrine, we are progressively minded in our methodology. We are constantly looking for new ways to reach out to our community. Our contemporary worship includes a praise band with a casual environment. We are family-oriented with an active children’s program. Leadership within a restored movement, progressive methodology, contemporary worship, and a family-oriented environment.

• Prepare and deliver sermons and studies.
• Guide small group program.
• Lead, oversee and direct ministry leaders, deacons, and volunteers under the oversight of the Elders.
• Attend church events.
• Partner with Elders for pastoral care, visitations, and overall vision.
• Evaluate ministry effectiveness and guide leadership in strategic planning.

• Good fit:
  Bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies; exemplify Christian living; temperate, self-controlled, hospitable, gentle, strong organizational skills; passionate about kingdom growth; connect well with youth; experience in a growing church environment; people person with blue-collar, fun-loving, welcoming, supportive congregation.

• Confidence in speaking, extensive Biblical knowledge, effective verbal and written communication, and success in relationship management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media, and website management.
• Preaching experience preferred but not required for the right candidate with strong potential.
